Issue with "more than one tracker found" while trying to sync my FitBit Zip.

I have had the Zip for 7 months.  I sync it using the FitBit Connect application installed on my Windows 7 laptop.  Recently (last 2 weeks) whenever I sync the device, I am prompted with a "more than one tracker found" pop-up and a request to sign into my account.  This behaviour is new; during the previous 6 months no such prompt was given.

I only have one FitBit.  There is only one FitBit in my home where I do the syncing.

I did recently change the battery.  Also I recently updated Windows 7 ( I do this monthly).  Any suggestions why the prompts are appearing and suggestions for what settings I can modify to remove this prompt?

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue... no other fitbit in the home, never had to log in every time I wanted to synch before, but since the beginning of the year, I have to log in with user name and password every time.  I assume that Fibit simply does not have the bandwidth or speed or server capacity that it once did, and they need to use "delaying tactics".

I have the same problem. A friend with a fitbit was visiting but has been gone for a week and it still claims to find 2 trackers, so I have to log in each time. I tried restarting my computer and also removing and replacing the dongle. Nothing worked. Someone give us a way to fix this!

So...does fitbit actually look at this to rectify problems? How do we get this to stop making us sign in each time and what do we have to do so we can see the previous days' activities? I have a friends box show up and I don't track other folks or they, me. What do we do????

Same issue here--it started happening shortly after the last softawre update from Fitbit.  Seems like they've introduced a bug in the latest release.  I have only 1 Fitbit in this house, so it cannot possibly be finding "multiple" devices.  It's really annoying having to log-in every time.

I get this message also but there is one tracker in the house.

This error -- the software mistakenly reporting multiple FitBit Zip devices present -- is indeed annoying.  Does anyone know how to contact FitBit support directly, so that this can be reported (and hopefully, solved)?

You might notice around the forums that there are multiple threads about this issue. Yes, it is a bug and yes, fitbit seems to be aware of it. I use the desktop client "fitbit connect" to sync. If I click on "synch now", I get the annoying and incorrect dialogue box saying "more than one tracker found" and I'm asked to login with my email. Once logged in, my sync works fine. I just noticed if I choose "fitbit.com Dashboard" from the fitbit connect menu, it brings me right to my Dashboard without re-entering my email and I sync from there. For me, it's not a huge issue until the bug is fixed. I don't even need to sync every single day.
