New Zip - not syncing steps

Bought a new zip for my son today.  Replaced it on his account and as expected the app transferred his logged steps to the new zip.  He went to sync it about 10 minutes ago and the app instead of pulling the new step count from his zip roughly (1.5 K more) just rewrote the zip with the step count in the app

Thanks for joining us @Milissas! This sounds odd. To make sure that the Zip is working correctly, please restart it. Also, please make sure that your son's tracker is syncing. You can check this post on How to Fix Syncing Issues
