My Zip is doing the same - not uploading the correct number of steps (much less than actual true number)to my phone app, as well as zeroing out daily steps once it uploads.  Battery does not show as depleated.Second day in a row this has happened.  NEED ASSITANCE

Last 2 days auto-syncing on my mobile app records incorrect number of steps, then zeros out tracker during the middle of the day.  Need to have accurate tracking!!!

Mine has started doing this as well yesterday about 7pm central time and then I just tried to sync this morning at 8:30am and it reset again. Very frustrating as I use this to track for my work health prgram and I have now lost about 5,000 steps between yesterday evening and this morning. Not sure if it has to do with the app update that recently took place?

and I too have noticed that the steps are not recording accurately lately.

AGAIN TODAY!!! Steps reset to zero after I walked over 5,000 steps!!!! What's the point of having a Fitbit Zip or any other Fitbit tracker if Fitbit Connect, etc. is no longer reliable & Fitbit's customer service offers no proven solution?

It's nice to see you both around the Community @Babs21555 @TonTracker, hope you're doing great!

Sometimes the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here .

If that doesn't work, please contact Fitbit Support directly so they can take a deeper look into this and see where the issue is coming from. Don't forget to mention the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones.

Good luck guys!

Over the last 3 days, every time I sync the Zip it resets to 0 and records 0 steps for the day. I replaced the battery a few weeks ago and it was working fine, so I think I can rule out the battery change as a cause. Any suggestions? I've lost around 12,000 steps each day which I know because I have a look at the Zip before syncing and then after and out they are...

Please help.
