Zip Won't Sync

My zip won't sync and hasn't for months.  I have tried everything fitbit has suggested.  The only way it will sync is if I take the back off, remove the battery and then replace it.  It will sync one time but that is it.  I am wearing out the back taking it off.  Obviously many others are having the same problem.  WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED?????

Great idea about the dongle, but explain the android issue. The shark has a
mouthful of flesh with a lot of android devices. I have the J32016, so does
my partner and that is a vote of 2 that we are screwed and fitbit will just
run away and abandon us. Somebody had to say it so we could have an
official date when fitbit bit it.
