Zip won't sync with my new Samsung S10.  I had it synced with LG5, but that took me asking too.  Any help appreciated

I doubt it as Fitbit have discontinued the Zip and it is happening on multiple devices. looks a bit suspicious to me. Mine suddenly stopped syncing when I upgraded software on an S9. It will sync but only when I remove battery and restart.  Even more suspicious. Fitbit don't want to support these devices but no longer offer non wrist allternatives

I don't want to wear anything on my wrist on a daily basis ! Pretty mad they don't make alternatives anymore as it is. I'll be removing/replacing the battery every few days if that's what it takes for now 😞

My ZIP won't sync to my new Galaxy 10 Plus!

I refuse to take the battery out every day to sync it back up. If they really aren't going to support it anymore, I'm sad about that, but I'm switching to Garmin which fits this & more (plus their old ones help working!) and never using Fitbit anything again.  It's ridiculous since I only got the device in November so that's only 8 months with it working? And now they won't Provide support to upgrade to match new technology so their app will sink to their device? Crazy!

Sorry for typos; for clarity, here's what it was:

You are absolutely right! Wonder why it's so hard to sync that with a new
device? My guess would be they're phasing it out and want you to buy the
more expensive ones and put it on your arm. I don't want to wear one on my
arm I like my watch and my bracelets on my arm. If that's the case it
didn't work for me I am not going to buy something else

That's my guess. But I'm not buying a Fitbit watch.  I hate that I wasted my money on the zip that I only could use for 9 months. I feel like that was misleading & should have a refund for their lack of compatibility with modern smartphone operating  systems.

But I'll just upgrade my Garmin that I run with to include steps & stick with their better devices & have 1 multipurpose gadget.

Still works on my old galaxy s5 phone. I gave up on my s9+ phone.

I think they have finally updated the app.  My zip is now syncing with the fitbit app on my S10e without having to remove the battery.   I hope it is not a fluke and the issue is finally resolved.
