Let's be honest here, so many people are having trouble syncing their zip. I have done all the steps outlined everywhere. Everything is up to date. My phone is a one+ 5T running 8.1. forgot needs to admit that the ZIP is faulty. I eventually get it to sync but it takes 5-10 minutes of doing crap like rebooting devices, turning Bluetooth off and on. Just fix the thing with a new firmware or give us all new devices that work. Mine is only a few months old.

The word forgot should have read "Fitbit"

Wish I could tell you it's a recent problem, but it's a problem that has now been around for years. Seems to be a very elusive fix. . .

"Elusive"? Or just "low priority"? With the world moving toward all-in-one wrist devices that will not just count steps, but also make your coffee, answer your email, and call your mother for you, I can imagine that FitBit isn't overly aggressive about fixing the problems with a low-end product.
I'm like a number of others, though. I already give up wrist space to a good old-fashioned wristwatch (analog -- imagine that!!) and a medic alert band. I don't need another wrist device. I bought the Zip specifically because it DOESN"T require wrist space, as well as the fact that I don't need the thousand other options wrist devices provide. I can call my mother myself, thankyewverymuch.
