Changed my battery about 3 weeks ago and been having nothing but problems. Sometimes it just stops tracking in the middle of the day. When it reset all previous steps are gone. Time is not always correct either. Had a Fitbit 1 before this and never had any problems. I think there should be an option to charge the zip not replace the battery.

@dalberts Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry to hear that your Zip isn't working fine after you replaced the battery. Make sure the battery is properly secured by pulling the metal tab as shown in the following pictures (take this chance to clean the contacts too with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol):
