Hi Guys
Bit of a strange question for you, would anyone know how suitably a Fitbit zip would be for a chef to wear? My boyfriend is a chef and I fancied getting him a Fitbit, I figured the zip would be better for him to wear due to hygiene and his hands are in and out of water all day, so that ruled out the ones you wear on to your wrist. However he has had problems with electronics getting steam damaged in the past due to the atmosphere in the kitchen, doesn’t anyone know if the zip would cope with this or had a issue with steam damage? Any info would be really useful 🙂

Welcome to the Forums @KawaiiCherry! I think that it will depend on the placing of the tracker. Zip is most accurate when worn on or very close to the body. Ideal places to wear your Zip include a shirt pocket, bra, pants pocket, belt, or waistband.
Regarding the temperatures, the operating temperature is 32° to 104° F (0° to 40° C); and the non-operating temperature is -0° to 130° F (-17.7° to 54.4° C). To read more about Zip, you can check out the User's Manual.
I hope this helps! 😉
