Hi. My Zip will not update since the new version 23 May 2017. Tried usual fixes of restarting, logging off, removing Zip battery. I use Zip linked to iPad. Don't want to lose the last weeks data. Any ideas?

Best regards

Stu99, the latest app is one one you have. It runs on both the iPad and the iPhone.

Here's the link to it for a web browser:https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fitbit/id462638897

Paxton29, first, go the webpage fitbit.com/login, and verify that you can sign in using your email address and your password. If you cannot, you will have to solve that problem before you proceed any further.

Next, to sign out of your app and sign in again, press the "account" button, and scroll to the bottom of the screen, and press the logout button. Then sign back in again.

At this point, you should still be able to see your past data in your iPad app.

If you still cannot sync, delete the app from your iPad, and re-install it from iTunes, and sign into your Fitbit account again from the iPad. This will not disturb your history with your Zip.

At this point, I would expect your iPad to be able to sync again with you and your Zip.

Since your Zip stopped working when you updated the iPad app (I verified that the latest version is indeed dated May 23), you can probably lay the blame there and not your Zip.

First off, when you open the app on your iPad, can it properly contact Fitbit? Are you able to see your friends, or your past performance? If not, then this explains your problem, and you will need to re-authenticate with your password and email address.

Are you able to see your old Fitbit data when you open that updated app on your iPad?

Thanks,

Spent a lot of time on to help desk IM yesterday. Tried varies fixes, lost data for last week and insisted I had a new Zip 23 rd May which is not the case. Before help desk I could see all previous data up to 23 rd May but the app could not find the Zip. The zip is now connected and working (I had to add it as a new Zip)  but I have been unable to get the latest version of the app as each time I try to get it from App Store, it simply takes me back to the last open page on the app.  Also there is no ipad app on the App Store, you have to search for the phone app and try to use that. Any ideas on updating to the latest version?
