It's very frustrating.  I don't know what else to do!  I'm not buying a new phone and I really don't want to have to buy another Fitbit.  I'm at a loss.

My Note8 just updated the new Android system and now my Zip won't sync with the Fitbit app.  Since Fitbit is phasing out Zip, I bet they won't do anything to fix the problem.

I think they're trying to force you to buy another Fitbit. I bought a
Garmin.

And no Samsung owner of an S9 or above is is having this issue.

It's all on Fitbit. If I purchased another new Fitbit it would sync.

I think with Samsung's help I discovered the solution. Uninstall the fitbit app from your phone. Don't worry, your account is saved, and you won't lose your progress. Then reinstall the fitbit app. Log in to your account with the same email address. There will a screen that requires you to accept an additional permission in the fitbit app for Android 6.0. Accept the new permissions and then you should be able to sync via Bluetooth to your phone.

I did that. It didnt work. I was told to go to the Microsoft store on a
laptop that runs windows 10 and download the app there. I havent had the
time yet. Already spent untold hours on this issue to no avail. Ugh

Try it again. Unistall the app completely, not just delete the icon for. There is a new permission to accept for the app.

I have Samsung 8+ and since latest update mine will not sync either. Has anyone heard if there will be a fix for this?

Unistall the fitbit app. Download it again, and reinstall it. When reinstalling, there is a new permission to accept.

I tried this and it did not work. No new permission to accept.

Where will the new permission be located to accept?

as soon as you install the fitbit app again.

Someone said the uninstalling and reinstalling the app will reveal a new
permission to accept but I havent tried it (again) yet.

This has been going on all week. So over it. I bought a Garmin. I will
try the above one more time bit on Monday I'm moving to Garmin.

It's a ploy to purchase a new one. It worked.

Same here. Not working. Do you have a Zip? Maybe they're eliminating it.
I should think all they have to do is say so.

Not sure why some have uninterrupted service and others are excluded.

I have yet to try logging into Microsoft to download the app. How much
friggin gymnastics is required for this apparatus to function as it's
intended?

Fitbit dropped the ball on this crossection of customers. Apparently, they
dont want our business. My GARMIN arrives tomorrow. Fitbit should pay for
it since now I have 2 fitbits that I cannot use!

Yes I do have a Zip.  Are the other models syncing?  I really wasn't trying to buy another device but I may have to!  😞

The only thing that worked for me was removing the battery for about 10 seconds, and then putting it back. Unfortunately that works for a single sync only.
