bluetooth transmission output to maximum level...

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

1. I lost my fitbit at home I did try using a blue tooth finder but still could not locate it. It is a fitbit zip with a new full battery. I believe the issue is that it is in sleep mode but since I don't know where it is I cant touch it to get it out of sleep mode. Is there a way to force the fitbit zip to wake up without touching it?

2. Is there anyway thru the use of custom code that I could set the bluetooth transmission output to maximum level? Maybe even get the signal to turn on or off like a beacon so I might be able to locate it?

3. Any other suggestions?

Nice to see you here  @dominickcatanza! Currently, you can't change the strength of the Bluetooth signal on your Fitbit or wake it up without taping it.

This is what Fitbit recommends to find your tracker:

- If you've paired your Fitbit tracker with a mobile device, you can take that device to the area where your tracker may have been lost and watch for it to sync. This may help you to pinpoint its location.
- If you sync with a computer, check your dashboard to see the last time your tracker synced. If it synced recently, it is within 20 feet of your computer.

- Since you have a clip-based tracker, look near your laundry. Many people who clip their tracker onto clothing find that it ends up in the dirty clothes pile.
- These are the Bluetooth location apps that Fitbit recommends. For iOS you can try LightBlue - Bluetooth Low Energy. For Android you can try Bluetooth Finder

If these tips don't help, please contact Support for extra help. Just remember to let them know the troubleshooting steps that you have tried and to take a look to the Warranty Policies before calling them.

Good luck and keep me posted with the outcome! 😉
