fitbit zip not recording steps

My fitbit seems to be recording calories but not steps. What might be wrong?

Hey @oxnardzip, I'm very excited to welcome you to the Community Forums! It's really odd that your Fitbit is only recording the calories, in the case I recommend to remove the battery of the Fitbit for a few seconds and put it back in, once the Fitbit is on again make a test. If you notice that is not tracking the steps, please get in touch with our Support Team so they can check why is this happening and give you a resolution for this.
