Updated app today.  Calories and active minutes are triple what was tracking before.  Anyone else have this problem?

I've not seen any other posts reporting this and I would expect there to be many if it was a bug in the app update especially as 3.6.1 was just a bug fix for the crashing app issue.

Are the steps looking normal? If so, the main thing that can cause calories to go beserk (which can also affect active minutes) is if one or more of your profile settings for age, height, weight etc have been accidentally changed. It's worth a quick check of yours at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile

Steps are still accurate.  I know how far it is from my car to office, and can gauge total steps at end of workday.  I did check my personal settings, and all data is still the same.

So far today, I have logged 4,799 steps, and app indicates calories burned 3,944, with 490 active minutes.  Also, my heartrate is not picking up correctly, either.  Normal resting rate is around 65 BPM, currently indicating 127 BPM.

@srmbrooks I don't know what to suggest. It's not clear whether the issue is that the heart rate is being tracked too high and that's affecting both your active minutes and calorie burn calculations, or that the heart rate is just another symptom alongside the active minutes and calories.

I guess it's worth trying a restart (if you haven't already) as it does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues (it's much the same as rebooting a PC). Instructions are at: Help article: How do I restart my tracker?

If that doesn't work, and you get no other suggestions here, then you may want to contact customer support. They may be able to tell what's happening from the server side and if they can't fix it then they can check your warranty status and advise on your options. You can get them via contact.fitbit.com

Thank you.  I will have to contact Fitbit.  Turning off and on seemed to work at first,  it now back to incorrect tracking.

@srmbrooks @SteveH I'm having a similar issue, and in my case, it's definitely the heart rate going haywire. I got 7 kcal/min for a walk in a time that normally gives me 5 kcal/min. I'm getting 17+ hours of the day in "fat burn" and a couple hours in "cardio" and "peak" on days where I had messed up my leg and only takes the steps required to get to and from work. I'm also getting no sleep cycle data.

After an online chat with Fitbit, we am waiting for an email with instructions on potential resolution.
