Hey, Please look into this problem.
I also faced the same issue while setting up my Versa2 today. The same 403 message pops-up on the screen when you click on setup, and it just goes away when you turn off the wi-fi or switch on to the mobile data.
This is weird but is still happening.

Hi there @SunsetRunner. Thanks for the details shared on your post.
I understand how you are feeling and appreciate your efforts. I recommend doing the following:
1. Make sure your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version: How do I update the Fitbit app?
2. Restart your router and try to set up Fitbit Versa 2 again
3. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. Note: Before you uninstall the app, verify that your phone is running a supported version of Apple iOS. If your phone is on an older version, you won’t be able to reinstall the app. For OS requirements, see Fitbit-compatible devices.
On a side note, I've moved your post to this thread so we can keep our forums organized.
Hope this helps.
