Adding exercise

My understanding is that if I add an exercise via the app, the number of steps should replace the steps during the time period logged. For example, I just used the treadmill for 20 minutes, going 1 mile. Adding 20 minutes for treadmill exercise via the app should replace the actual steps calculated during the past 20 minutes. However, the tracked exercise is simply being added to the steps counted in the past 20 minutes, thereby nearly doubling the actual step count. How can I correct this situation?

Hey there @Clumbers3 it's great to have you here in the Community! That's correct, manual logs override the data recorded by your tracker. Regarding smart track exercise, since it is automatically recorded, you will need to delete if you don't want it, you can do so by click the little trash can on the right side of the log.
