Adding other exercise to app

I would like to manually add other exercise using a steps conversion chart to supplement my daily totals that Fitbit doesn’t really capture. (i.e. yoga, swimming, biking…)

Hello @Sauzajoy and welcome to the Help forum.  What model Fitbit do you use?  Some models have an Exercise app on the device that lets you track specific exercises.  Some have an automatic exercise feature for some exercises, so you don't have to do anything special.  Many have both!

I have the HR ALTA. I don’t see how to add exercise with this app or am I
missing something?

@Sauzajoy   Your Alta HR is among Fitbit's basic trackers and your options are limited.  I never used that model, so I can't give you a, "This is how I do it" answer.  The Alta HR is only splash proof.  When you swim, you can log your swim in the app.  Tap on the + sign on the exercise tile, toggle the bar to log, then add swim.  You  shouldn't need to do anything special for biking.  It is a SmartTrack activity.  Biking distance doesn't get added to your daily or lifetime distance.  If you are referring to the Track option, that has run/walk/hike choices, you can't change that list.

You mention using a step conversion chart.  I'm not sure what you mean or what you want to do with it.  If you are wearing your Alta HR at the time you are active, you shouldn't add steps.  Manually added steps don't get added to your lifetime totals.  If you manually log an activity and are wearing your Fitbit at the same time, then you can get duplicate data.

I don't think you are missing anything.

You Alta HR is tracking your activity as long as you are wearing it.  If you really want to track something very specific, like yoga, you need to upgrade to a newer device with an Exercise App on the device.
