My Fitbit suddenly lost power and after countless recharging attempts won't start anymore and appears to be dead. I've only had it about 3 months. Please help!

push and hold the button down for 13 seconds i believe. or until lights start flashing. this resets the device

Purchased the Fitbit Surge for one of my wifes XMas presents, after 3 months it appears to have gone "silent" and doesn't flicker, take or hold a charge.  I saw on line that holding down the button for 13 seconds or until it flashes, resets it.   I held the button down for a good 30 seconds and no flicker, etc.  Are there any other options I can try?  Looks pretty on the kitchen counter but much more useful when worn on the wrist.

Thanks in advance!
