Ok, I understand that some people dislike all day syncing and it wears on the battery like most Fitbit products previously. But I use my weather app a lot during work to do reports. If I need my phone to sync my weather app or stats it makes no sense to have this on my watch. Why can't we have the option of all-day data sync so we can use the options on the watch without syncing numerous times in a day?

But it does have all-day sync. There used to be an option to turn off all-day sync, but it was eliminated so all-day sync is automatically on. But perhaps we have different ideas of what "all day sync" means.
Is your idea of all-day sync that it is is perpetually all up-to-date; i.e. continually syncing all the time? It does not do that.

I don't quite understand whether you want it to sync or not. It sounds like you want the weather to stay current without syncing. If that is what you want, there is no way for the Fitbit to get the weather without going through the phone app.

I am aware it needs the phone to get the weather. But it makes no sense to have to sync my watch with my phone just to update the weather or anything. If it had all day sync it would always be up to date when I need it! Along with other apps on the watch.

I understand that it use to sync all day when I owned the Blaze, it would automatically sync throughout the day and now it does not. The option is no longer available on the updated phone app to choose this option. I have read those Faq’s links as well and as it explains where it use to be it no longer exists. If it has all day sync option can you explain where this is located?

As I said above, the all-day syn option was removed to eliminate the option of turning it off. Fitbit said turning it off was negligible battery-saving, so it is now permanently set for everyone as if it had been selected "on". Essentially Fitbit set it "on" and took away the option to turn it off. I can't find where that used to be explained in the "Help" sections.

If it is supposed to update consistently, my watch has an issue as it only syncs when I open my phone and the app. So what I am hearing is that this watch will not work for my needs as it does not update without me opening my app. Thanks anyway, as this seems redundant.

Mine only syncs when I open my app too. Which is rather annoying. I don't check my app every single day. I don't track things the way some people might via the app. So if I don't check my app at the end of the day, I lose my step count for that day and there's no way to get it. I don't enjoy it.

Yes, the app does have to be open to sync, not necessarily in foreground but just left open. Not sure, but I suspect it was also that way when "all-day sync" used to be an option.
You don't have to actually check your app; just leave it open in the background.
I'm in no position to say why, or if it could be made to work otherwise, but I do know that is the way it is. I expect it is not possible for Fitbit to interact through the app without it being open, but I am no expert on such things.
