Alta not connect to iOS devices

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

New Alta.

Tried to connect using Bluetooth.

Installed the Fit-bit app and followed the instructions.

Nothing.

Tried connecting three iOS devices (iPhone 7, iPad 2 and iPad mini) but they can't even see the device at all.

Tried restarting Bluetooth, and even restarted the iPad 2 and the iPhone.

Still not appearing in the list of available devices.

Two Android devices (lollipop and marshmallow) and a Windows 10 device can see it no problem.

I gave up trying to sync to iOS and used the Windows desktop.

For convenience, I'd like to sync to my phone.

Is this possible? What do you suggest?

Thanks.

EDIT: Reading the forums more closely I discovered the "Restart" option on the Alta.

Now it isn't visible to any device.

What has happened?

Is the device faulty?

Hi @melj215. Am I correct in assuming you would prefer to connect to the iPhone 7? If yes, please try this:

  • Remove the Fitbit app from your iPhone 7.
  • Move to a room or an area that has no other Bluetooth devices. This is important.
  • Install the fitbit app again on your iPhone.
  • Tap Set Up a Device and select Alta. (You do have the Alta, not the Alta HR, right? If you have the HR, select that.)
  • Follow the directions, pairing the Alta to Bluetooth when prompted.

Hopefully this will work for you.
