Alta not pairing with iPhone.

I just got the Alta. My charge 2 died and now my phone won’t let me sync the new one to it! Any suggestions

If  your Alta is not setting up correctly on your phone, please update the app and your phone OS if you haven't done it yet, then try the following:

 

  1. Restart your Alta and leave it plugged in and charging
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal
  4. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process. 
  5. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  6. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue

That is still not working. I have updated everything, turned my phone off and back on, disconnected any other trackers I might have had previously, turned Bluetooth off and back on,... nothing seems to work. The watch keeps saying Fitbit.com/setup on the screen. What other suggestions do you have...

How do I restart my Alta? All it is saying is to go to the website on it right now...

To restart your Alta:

 

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clasp the other end of the cable to the port on the back of your Alta. It will begin charging.

  3. Press the button on your charging cable three times within eight seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. 
  4. Eight seconds after the first button press, you'll see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This means Alta is restarting.
  5. After you see the logo you can unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
