Alta not receiving notifications

Posting as a new topic because I'm not sure it will get a response in the original post on a solved topic...

I just purchased an Alta yesterday and I'm having trouble with this. My Alta is properly paired with my iPhone 7 Plus, notifications turned on in the mobile app and DND is off. I do not receive any calendar notifications, felt a vibration while I received a call but nothing on the display, and intermittently receive text notifications- either one vibration and no display, no vibration and I can view the display when I tap the device, or no notification at all. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Hello @Robink1270, I hope you're doing well, thank you for the update!

In this case please go to Settings > Notifications > Calendar and check Allow Notifications is turned on. Additionally, tap on each option that appears on this screen and enable Show in Notification Center and Show on Lock Screen.

If there's anything else I can do for you, feel free to reply! Smiley Wink

Hello @Robink1270 and welcome to the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

As you mentioned the notifications on your Alta don't seem to be working properly, I'd like to suggest the following:

  1. Restart your Alta
  2. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if "Alta" is paired; if it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  3. Setup notifications on your Alta once again.

Please make sure Notifications are enabled on your phone (Settings > Notification Center) and that No Disturb is turned off on it as well. Give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Thanks Margo. The call and text notifications seem to work now, but I'm still not receiving the calendar notifications. It vibrated for the other two categories, but nothing at all happens for the calendar.

Thanks! That did the trick...I didn't realize that notification settings apparently changed recently in iOS 10.1.1 (must have been very recently) because those appear to be new options since I last modified my calendar setting. Smiley Very Happy

Hello @Janthea, and thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Are you able to receive text and call notifications? If so, I would like to suggest going to the Fitbit app, then tap on Account > Alta > Notifications and check if Calendar is enabled. If it is, disable it, sync your tracker, enable it back again and sync one more time.

If you're not receiving any kind of notification, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone, check if Alta is on the list of paired devices; if it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. Then restart your phone and go back to the Fibit app > Account > Alta > Notifications and enable all Notifications once again.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know. Smiley Wink

Hello @Janthea, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply!

If you're still not able to receive Calendar notifications, please go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Calendar and check that they're enabled. If that doesn't seem to do the trick, my best recommendation would be contacting our Support Team. Let them know about the steps you've performed so far, I'm sure they will be more than happy to get you back on track.

Give it a try and keep me posted! Smiley Happy
