I don’t want to see this message and can’t figure out how to remove it.
I have cardio load disabled as a metric to see on the main screen but I still see this notification. Even dismissing it (hitting the x) doesn’t prevent it from showing next time you open the app.
Anyone figured out a way to remove this permanently?

Hi all -- last week I formally reported this issue to Google Support and directed them to this thread with numerous complaints. I took a screenshot of the original complaint and requested that someone give users an update (and not a workaround fix that doesn't seem to stick). If they don't, well....

Is there any resolution coming on this issue?? People have been complaining here about it for 2 months. I personally have sent numerous reports on it through the app feedback submission (that apparently no one at Google ever reads for any of their apps). As most others have said the metric is basically useless and the notifications are actually rude. Someone needs to actually listen to your consumers or you really won't have any left.

I am happy to keep using the Fitbit however I pay for a premium subscription. I want things to work the way I want them to work. I pay for a watch and then I pay for a subscription. If I cannot turn off and on the features that I want then you will lose another customer. This is my third Fitbit product, please don't make it my last.

This is encouraging if indeed it's true that Google is aware and working on this problem. As you can see from the replies, some people got tired of waiting, bailed on Fitbit and are using other trackers. The sooner this nag screen is fixed, the less chance that more people will shop elsewhere.

I removed the cardio load tile from "Today" and deleted all my cardio load data. Then I went to feedback and requested that the "Ready to hit your target" feature be removed. After 2 days of waiting I'm happy to say it is gone. That message seems to be the only thing I've lost.
I hope this helps someone. That was the most annoying feature

I have removed the Cardio load data as described earlier in this thread, and that allowed removal of the nonsensical nag message. I fear that it will come back and would like to have assurance that it will be promptly resolved. It would be very nice to have Google Fitbit update this thread with any new information regarding progress and timeline to fully resolve this problem.
Update 4/24/25: the message has returned and now has become nearly impossible to remove it by clicking on the cross symbol. I find that if I reboot my phone and launch the fitbit app, I am able to remove it a few times before doing another reboot.
Thanks all for your comments.

My mom hates this feature too, and is looking for a way to remove it.

This thread started 01/096 and the team is reported as still looking into it. Patience is a virtue I keep telling myself.
My feedback includes it is annoying, blocks space so I also cannot monitor heart rate and steps, and input is often off base. I, too, had a sick spell and have a heart rhythm issue. Smiles to Fitbit AFib monitoring that was an alert to see my doctor. Past all that and regular, but I monitor my data closely and like the idea of cardio load but have found the data unreliable and recommendations inaccurate on a regular basis.

I figured I may as well add myself to this thread in hopes that Google does something about this. I've tried deleting the cardio load data and will see if that helps.

The notification is completely useless. It tells me I've been working hard when I haven't, or that I need to step it up when I've been active all day. Even if the data were accurate, I DO NOT NEED this nagging notification.
I'll tell you what I really needed. I really needed the data tracking page that Fitbit used to provide via the web (https://www.fitbit.com/dashboard). This gave me historical data that was EXTREMELY useful. It was so useful that I would share it with my physician when discussing my weight and exercise habits. Of course the first thing Google did was to stop supporting this and tell me that the app will do it for me - which of course it doesn't even come close to doing. I have doubts I will continue with Fitbit after my current Sense 2 becomes obsolete, unless Google can stop degrading the service.

You are right, I forgot about the data history that is difficult if not impossible to access. But I wish their priority would be to get rid of the cardio nag screens. Please! Just. Do. It.

OK it does seem to have gone, BUT I have moved it from my wrist to my belt - losing sleep and heart data but charging was haphazard with the strap and I read that it was easier without the strap - it is!! (Which seems a little stooopid)
So have they addressed the issue finally or have I got rid simply by losing functionality elsewhere, and the rest of you still have that irritating message?

I need the sleep data so I keep it on my wrist. When I clear out both cardio data the nag screen does go away for a while. But wait for it, it may be back. It happened to me.

Out of the dozens of negative comments finally there was one response that seemed official that said thank you we are working on it. But that's about it. I wouldn't count on seeing any fix in the near future. Obviously they're not interested in customer feedback to improve the app And that's a shame.

So glad I found this thread. I've been a Fitbit user since 2017 and they have never been good at listening to and implementing customer feedback. I thought maybe when Google took over they'd get better at innovating, but it actually seems they've gotten worse.
For years I've seen users like me ask for the ability to remove phone notifications from trackers to no avail (seriously, why do I HAVE to scroll past it to get to exercise logging on a fitness tracker?). But this cardio load thing is especially infuriating. I walk anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 steps a day on a treadmill while I work. I have to put my Fitbit around my ankle since my hands are busy at my keyboard and it won't track my steps accurately otherwise. This obviously leads to poorer heart rate tracking, which I'm OK with. I just want to know how many steps I'm taking. Nothing drives me crazier than seeing my Fitbit tell me that my "activity levels have been lower" every single day. I've turned off cardio load as a metric, and the fact this message didn't disappear with cardio load tracking is insane. And the fact that so many users in this thread alone have asked for this feature to be removed and they've still done nothing shows me that they still don't care about user feedback. Disappointing.

On the phone app click on your avatar, then Your Data in Fitbit, then Deletion options, then delete all data in Cardio Fitness Score and Cardio Load. It will stop the bag screens ... for awhile but not permanently.

Well, an update occurred and the pesky messages continue. Change in how cardio load is displayed is touted as better, I do not agree being very happy with the previous display format. Loyalty is thin and I likely will find a new product when my current device dies. If I want coaching there is a screen for that. I just want data that is reliable and displayed clearly.

it’s totally annoying & useless for myself as well. I workout and am physically active every day. i meet all my physical goals, everyday. I don’t need it to tell me things that are of no use to me!

After all this time, I guess they're still "looking at the problem". I have nothing much to add to others' complaints about the annoying nag. I had gotten rid of it for a week, but it was back today. So disappointing, and a fix should not be that difficult.
