I don’t want to see this message and can’t figure out how to remove it.
I have cardio load disabled as a metric to see on the main screen but I still see this notification. Even dismissing it (hitting the x) doesn’t prevent it from showing next time you open the app.
Anyone figured out a way to remove this permanently?
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Deleting cardio data seems to stop the nag for a few days, but it always returns with a vengeance!

Any update? This still hasn't been resolved. The only way to get rid of the notifications is to delete the cardio data, but the only works for a couple of weeks. It is pathetic that this still hasn't been fixed.

Nope, not that I heard of. There was an app update yesterday; we'll see if it solves this annoying issue. I'm not holding my breath, though.

The day after I commented, my nag was gone again. All I had done was check to see that cardio load was still turned off, which it was. So it was gone for a week or two, back for a day, now gone for a few days. Not sure what to expect now.

I noticed there was an app update recently. Do we dare hope that Google finally listened to the voice of the people and eliminated that nag pop up? Time will tell!

After reappearing the first time for a few days, then disappearing again for a few days for no reason, it's now back for no reason today. Where is the fitbit response lately?

I have only seen one official reply in the dozens of comments about this cardio nag screen, and that was "We're aware, we're addressing the issue" or something generic like that.

I agree with you 100%. I walk 7 days a week and do water aerobics 3x a week. Depending on how my body handles it I walk 3 -7 miles. The banner keeps telling me the same thing. So I pushed myself. I have Lupus among other things and this hurt me to the point I was peeing blood due to exercising to heavy. They need to get rid of it before they cause real harm to people who have body issues already.

I finally figured out! When you open the app hit the pen :pen:️ scroll to cardio load and turn it off. Gets rid of the banner and still gives you the steps and other exercises you may do!

This must be for Android devices. I don't see this option on iOS. Bummer!

Unfortunately that worked for a few weeks and then it came back even though cardio load was still turned off.

That seems to be the case with all devices. Deleting "all" cardio data will turn off the nag screen for a short while, and then it's back with a vengeance!

I supposedly "turned off" cardio, but it did not stop the nag screens from showing up. All you can do is delete all cardio data which will stop the nag screens temporarily.

I want it gone too. I don't need to be shamed by an app on my phone. I agree with everyone that it was better before. I have tried everything to get rid of this message. How can we get it across to Fitbit that we want it gone?

This is so strange - Fitbit support here says for us to submit feedback and they acknowledge NO ONE wants this feature and said the developers are working on it. I guess development has been farmed to a third world country, as the quality of the updates reflects this. We have gone through, what, 3-4 updates lately, and that stupid "take it easy" or "ready to hit your target" is still there.
Has there really been any universally desired functionality that users want added or removed, that has actually been done? Fitibit used to just send smaller updates to fix bugs, not introduce en masse wholesale changes that clearly have not gone through any real user acceptance testing. Google probably doesn't properly care to support this product, and may even be purposely driving Fitbit users away from the original product. This will backfire on them as few, if any, Fitbit users will switch to any Google product, if this is what we can expect for the user experience.

Quite!
It does make you wonder what else is in store. I've been musing in the last few months about Google's overarching role and have started investigating other e.g. email providers, my emails are important and if Google are so unresponsive to something like this then maybe I need to insulate myself from future .... changes ... in their ecosphere. Maybe spreading the risk around different providers rather than all our eggs in one ...G-basket?

Credit due. Irritating message shows up but seems to stay deleted. Thanks for listening and responding Fitbit.

I wish I could believe you, but what happens with me is that I delete the nag notification, then delete all cardio data. All is well . . . . for awhile, then the nag notification returns with a vengeance (I got it again yesterday).🙄
But here's hoping you're right!
