Hi @mp25 welcome to the Community! Let me suggest you to try the following:
- Verify that you have the most updated version of the Fitbit app
- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Turn Off the Bluetooth
- Reboot the phone
- Turn On the Bluetooth
- Log into the Fitbit app
