App has completely locked up my iPhone

I write this from my computer, as the FitBit app has completely locked up my iPhone. Can't exit the app, open other apps, force the app to close, can't even shut down the phone! I've noticed for a while if I try to go into the "details" of certain features, in particular sleep details or female cycle tracking, it will freeze for a while, but I've always been able to force shut down of the app. I ended up having to fully drain the battery just to be able to turn off the phone, but have no confidence in being able to use the app going forward without locking up my phone again. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Cthefish.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I am sorry to hear about your experience, I understand how you are feeling and recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app if you're using Apple iOS 13 or higher. Please also try the following:

  1. Clear your iPhone cache: How to Clear Your Browser's Cache on an iPhone.
  2. Verify if your phone is up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Hope this helps.
