I went for a 2 mile walk at lunch, my steps on my Alta were at around 8500. When I sync'd with my ios app, it loaded the 8500 then dropped it to 7700 then dropped it to 2225 which is what I had before I went for my walk. The app sync'd with my Alta and now my Alta only has 2225 steps for the day.
this is the second day in a row that my 45 minute walk steps did not track and reverted my Alta to lower steps. What's going? I've had a fitbit for over a year and never had an issue like this efore

Welcome to the forums!
This is really odd.
Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Hello @RipleyDoo, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board. It's always nice to see you around @WendyB, I hope you're doing well!
@RipleyDoo, after following @WendyB recommendation to restart your tracker, and the information is not syncing correctly, please go to your online Dashboard and check if the information is correct there. If that's the case, it's possible this information is not updating correctly with the Fitbit app, in which case I would like to recommend the following to refresh it:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!
