The Apple FitBit app was updated overnight, but since that I am continually getting a message (eventually) to say that "We are unable to update / install one or more apps. Please try again". The communication between the fitbit device and the app seems to be fine so I am not sure what this is referring to. What do I need to do? Is this a glitch with the update? Thanks

I have tried everything in this thread. The only thing left to do is a factory restore. Dont really want to do that.
Is there any answer?
I have only had the problem for three days but it seems like it has been an issue for months.

Since I do not use notifications to remind me to move, drink water, etc., I have turned off notifications and hopefully I will not see the can't update app notification again.

I am still getting this error. Updated app two days ago. Reset the fit bit versa to the factory settings. Reset / unconnected everything and started over. Still says this garbage. Please fix.

Thanks! I didn't even have to change the watch face. While in account (fitbit app on iOS) I saw my fitbit was not connected. In Bluetooth it showed connected but wouldn't disconnect or forget device. After rebooting device I got a fitbit pairing request and accepted it. I have rebooted many times but never with the app open. It then showed "syncing apps", then complete, connected, and everything looks good! Thanks for giving me hope there was a fix.

I am having this same issue. I have attempted to disconnect and reconnect my Fitbit devices (Ionic and Aria 2) and I’m still getting the notification. I deleted all after market apps I had downloaded thinking that was the problem but it must be one that came already loaded on my Ionic.

I’m having the problem where a essays comes up saying Fitbit is unable to update or install apps. I see here that there was a solution and it had been solved but I can’t see what the solution was or how to resolve it. Please could I get some assistance on this. I am getting sync issues I expect as a result of this.

I am still experiencing this issue as of 09/09/19. I have made sure the app is up-to-date. I have installed system updates as recommended. I have turned everything off and on again. Still not working.
E.g. My watch told me I’d reached 14 hours active, but the app says I only did 13 hours. However, the step count is correct.
please can you help!

If you haven’t tried this, it might help: open the app on your smart phone, click on your profile, click on your device (mine says Charge 3, select Clock Face, and change the clock face to a different option. Not sure how, but it’s what worked for me and several others.
Good luck!
