The Apple FitBit app was updated overnight, but since that I am continually getting a message (eventually) to say that "We are unable to update / install one or more apps. Please try again". The communication between the fitbit device and the app seems to be fine so I am not sure what this is referring to. What do I need to do? Is this a glitch with the update? Thanks

Ever since I did the last iOS update on the fitbit app(a few weeks ago) every time I start the app and it syncs or whatever it’s doing I get an error message that says one or more of my apps did not update and to try again. I press ok but I am not sure how I am supposed to try again if the app has already been downloaded from the app store. I have a charge three and the aria 2 scale. The exact message says We were unable to update/ install one or more apps. Please Try again. Then at the bottom it says ok in blue and when I click that it goes away but comes back again next time. How do I fix this? Is an update not going to the app? My charge 3 or my scale?

@KateFitbit Still waiting for a reply to advise of what the problem is. Come on Fitbit. Get this sorted out or at least let us users know what is happening

Hello @KateFitbit
This is still occurring 😞
iPhone iOS 12.1.4
Charge 3, Fitbit App 2.88
I have (many times) uninstalled, turned phone off for several minutes, re-installed.
It's also draining the battery with "all day sync" off, background refresh off, the app swiped away after double tapping, and blue-tooth off. (I charged it to 100% last night and went to sleep)
It -reeeeeaaallly- wants to sync and update and just tries non-stop I guess.

I just deleted the app for now 😞 mmm expensive watch, I love it.
An app that destroys my phone is unacceptable.

Thanks McKinney 4. Changed the clock face and it has indeed solved the problem. Thank goodness.

Thank you!
I changed the clock face via the app, my watch went *bzt* and that seemed to complete the update.
All the other issues are resolved. Background refresh has actually stopped, no more update message and battery was barely used overnight.

thank you ....changing the clock face worked. Then I was able to go back and change the clock face back to what it was. I only like one clock face. Wish they would add more that that had number of steps heart rate and the time

I think checking problem resolved when you are working on it is not really a solution. However the real annoyance is the app checks for app updates before updating the information from the charge 3 so. You have to wait then dismiss the error before the data updates. If you simply update the data first it would not be near as annoying... I see on the screen syncing apps then the error message after clearing the error I can update the data but if I don’t clear the error it just waits and does not synch the watch. Even after 30 minutes ...

Hello Glen
I, and quite a number of others, have found that going into the app and selecting to amend the clock face has managed to get rid of the sync problem .... try that
