I just made an account and downloaded the app but it is showing I burned 1548 calories everyday for the past few years, why is this?

Best AnswerWhen you first get your Fitbit, you will see burned calories. The devices begin the day at midnight, so no matter what time you set up, those burned calories will be there. This article on burned calories may help you. click to read

The OP's question wasn't about "calories burned since midnight", it was about the tracker showing calories burned in the days & months prior to the tracker even being set up. Is there a way to set the first day of calorie tracking to a particular date?
Hello and welcome to the forums @Jinxgirl
You can go here - click - and select the time period you'd like in order to see your daily, weekly, monthly and even yearly calorie burn. Just go to the little calendar at the upper right and select the period you'd like tracked.

Thanks for replying @Odyssey13. I do understand that I can change the data views to show my results for a day, week, month or year. What I want to know is can I (one time) set a START DATE for that data, so that tracking starts on the day I set up my Fitbit and any default data before that date (specifically calories burned) is deleted?
Best AnswerMy fit bit said I burned 9,440 calories every single day for 11 years. I can scroll back all the way to 2009 in the calories section and I only started my account 2 weeks ago. Is this normal? I was told it was based of my height and weight today, but I weighed triple 10 years ago so I’m not sure how this makes sense or how Fitbit can gather those stats without me wearing it for a while or not having the proper health backround. I wish it started at 0. It would make more sense to start from scratch and gather information that way. I don’t understand, someone please explain.
1. Can a print report with this history to a pdf or excel file?
2. Can this report show details on the Micro Nutrients? Great having this data provided by Fitbit Premium. However, without looking at history. And getting feedback is not enough to see the data for one day.
