Updated the app. Hoped that would be the fix. It's been weeks, if not months. Still having to log in every time I go to the app. If the update fixed the problem, what am I doing wrong??

You're not doing anything wrong - it's still not fixed. Keep in touch with the first post in the following thread to get the latest updates from fitbit:

Best AnswerI'm so glad that FitBit is aware of the problem. I'd be happier if FitBit had fixed the problem at either of the past two updates. However it's been weeks, and still I must log into the app at least the first time I open it each day. It's annoying.
