App stopped sharing main screen to Photos.

iOS: 11.2.2

FitBit App:2.44.2 (739)

Charge 2: 22.55.2

With previous updates to the App, I could share my main screen and get "Share to Photos" as an option. That option would add the shared main screen "screen shot" to the Camera Roll at my Photos app. I could then synchronize my phone to my computer and have the shared "screen shot" saved to iPhoto.

I have verified that my FitBit app has access to the Photos app.

Please bring back this option.

Thanks!

David

Hello @dafydd, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have detailed the issue for me. At this moment I would like to ask you to try the following steps in order to reset the settings that might be affecting the "save picture" function.

  1. Force-quit the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swipe up the app.
  2. Go to your phone Settings > Fitbit > Photos and select "Never"
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Go to Settings > Fitbit  > Photos again and select "Read and Write"
  5. Open the Fitbit app and check if you're able to save the picture again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!

Hello @dafydd, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I would like you to know that you can still share your Dashboard screen and save it to your "Photos". To achieve this, please follow these steps:

- Click on the little share icon on the top right corner of the screen.

Share1.png

- On the next screen, personalize your background and tap on the Share button.

Share2.png

- Next, you will be able to see how it's going to look in the Community tab in your phone. However, as we want to save the picture, tap on Share Elsewhere.

- When the menu appears, tap on Save Picture. This will save the picture to your camera roll. Once you sync your "Photos" app the screenshot will be saved as well.

I hope this can be helpful, please give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi, Marco,

Thank you for the text "Save image." That was the method I was using previous to this last week, but I couldn't remember the exact text.

"Save Image" has disappeared with this version of the iPhone app. In its place is "Create Watch Face." If I select "More" (to the right on the same line in your final screen shot), the only additional (and de-selected) option available to me is "Save to Dropbox."

My challenge is that "Save Image" has disappeared in the last week or ten days. As above, I have verified that my FitBit app has privileges to save images to my camera roll.

Thanks!

I'm having a similar issue.  I can only share pictures through bitmoji (I must have accidentally clicked on the use bitmoji "always") I like to have the option of using both camera roll images as well as bitmoji but I can't find the settings to reverse this settings.  I'm using android (samsung 9+) with Fitbit Versa.  Any suggestions?   Thank you!

Hello @judylionheart and a warm welcome.  I understand the your issue is similar to the original post.  However, your phone is an Android phone and you posted in the iOS forum.  You haven't done anything wrong, but you might not get help here.  Those of us who try to help are better at troubleshooting our own operating system.  I think you will get more help if you start a new thread in the Android forum and fully explain your issue.  I really think you will get an answer faster.  Much faster.

Hi, I am trying to share my peloton session with Fitbit. However, by following the instructions by Peloton, it does not work.  I open the said session and select share, however, Fitbit does not show in favourites or suggested apps to share. I have looked to add apps within the share function, however without success. Please help!

Love this canned response.  What happens when this doesn't work?  Do you ever give additional help?
