Hi. Since I have updated the app, it has stopped tracking my exercise! Has anyone else had the same issue? If so, how do i resolve it? Thank you

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Tell me, wen you mentioned the app stopped tracking your exercise, does that mean the app is not syncing the activities that were recorded by a Fitbit tracker or do you use MobileRun inside the app? Have you restarted your phone lately? Have you forced-quit the app recently as well?

Having this information will be very helpful for me to check this issue further and determine which troubleshooting steps should we take next.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Hello,

thank you for getting back to me! For a couple of days, when I had hit my exercise goal, it hasn’t recorded it as 1 out of 5 etc.  I don’t use MobileRun, it’s purely the tracker. It didn’t seem to sync my exercise properly.

When i clicked into the icon, it had recognised I had done the exercise.

Although i have lost out on a couple of days, it seems to have sorted itself out slightly and started recordings my exercise (2 out of 5) but I don’t know how.

I always close the app fully and I haven’t restarted my phone.

Hello @SunsetRunner, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply and let me know your issue has now been resolved, I'm very glad. Smiley Happy

Please note that if the information from previous days was lost, you can always log in a manual activity to include the exercises missing.

In case you have some spare time, I would like to invite you to visit our Discussions board where you will find great tips and encouragement from other members and if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted!

Hello @SunsetRunner, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply and provide me a screenshot, I really appreciate it. Smiley Happy

It seems the app is the one not showing correctly the information recorded by your tracker. At this moment I would like to ask you to try the following:

  • Force-quit the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app. If this doesn't work:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
