It loses the Bluetooth connection every time I close the Fitbit app. Does the iPhone app have to be open 24/7 for the phone and watch to sync properly??? It can’t seem to work with Spotify unless the Fitbit app is open. It doesn’t get the weather, unless the Fitbit app is open.
If I open anything on my watch it says “make sure your phones Bluetooth is on, then sync your device using the Fitbit mobile app”. It seems that no features will work unless the iPhone app is open. Is this intentional? I hate having background apps running For on my phone. That would really be unfortunate if the Fitbit app has to be open all day.

Hi @SBPanther9. Welcome to the Forums.
Thanks for your detailed post and about your question, some of your Versa 2's apps and features require certain permissions in order to work properly, such as access to the internet, enable the Bluetooth settings or the Fitbit app running on the background. This helps to ensure the connection between your watch and the app to sync your data, receive notifications, check the current weather and use other apps. I understand how this will affect you and while there isn't an option to change this process, your feedback is appreciated and our team will make sure to work on our services based on your comments.
If you need anything else, let me know.
