Just noticed that my iOS App seems to be showing Quick Replies - I’m sure this is a new feature because can’t recall seeing it before. Can anyone explain what this is and is it currently working ? 5CBDC3CE-CA74-41B7-A3EB-0942BEAD8C94.jpeg

Hello.

Not gonna lie the new Versa 2 is outstanding ! Love that I can change my background and other features. However very disappointed because I originally bought this thinking I could voice reply to my text messages and play music through Spotify. Anyway y’all will ever update this? Thanks!

Hello

My name is Ellie and I just got a Fitbit Versa... I have noticed that quick replies are greyed out on my device and I am not sure why. You’ve probably seen this question so many times before like I have, however I am not getting a clear answer and its very frustrating. All I want to know is...

1. Can I use quick replies with my Versa

2. Is having an IPhone 6 the problem

3. And lastly if it is possible for me to put quick replies on how do I do that ( step by step please )

4. I have one more question about the Fitbit Versa... can I answer calls on it and talk through the watch??

@Ellie_M , unfortunately Quick Replies to text messages are currently only available on Android phones, so I thnk that covers your questions 1-3.

The Versa does not have a microphone, so answering calls that way is not possible.  The Versa 2 does have a microphone, but even on the Versa 2 you cannot answer calls.  Android users can respond to messages and a voice recognition programme will turn that into text.  However, this does not work on iPhones at this time.

I am sorry not to have better news for you!  Please let us know if yu have any other questions about your new Versa.

Why can iPhone users not use the quick reply?

Will we eventually get to reply/use voice commands for our iOS phones? I specifically bought this thinking it could do that but now might just have to switch to an Apple Watch.
I don’t understand how android users can have this update and not IOS

Hi

I just recently purchased a FitBit Ionic and have noticed the Quick Replies is greyed out..... very annoying!

i have a IPhone XS.

can someone please tell me why this option isn’t working and it’s “ Greyed Out “

Hi, @Harry_K , it’s greyed out because ‘quick replies’ are not yet available on iOS.  I understand that in order to implement this both Apple and Fitbit need to implement some changes, and obviously Apple prioritize their own product (Apple watch).  But hopefully in the near future they will be able to coordinate so that this feature can come to Fitbit’s iOS.

Then how do I make it come through the Fitbit app?

Hi, @needs_help , if you are asking for quick replies on iOS, those are not currently available, and you cannot make them come through the Fitbit app.  If you need help with something else, please post again!

This was over a year ago- is Fitbit still working on this problem????

So the question everyone really wants to ask but isn’t; is why is it that responding to text msgs on the Ionic has been there forever this many years now and only andriod users can respond to texts? Any eta on that feature arriving?

Loooooots of Apple users in the world seems like it might be a good idea.

Thanks for any info!

I don’t think they are. Unfortunately I think fitbit has fallen to they typical flow of a company as they get big. They start out with great customer service and listen to what end users think would make the product better and then implement it. But as they get to be one of the big dogs, customer service and quality of product goes down as they are making more then enough money now to care what end users think.

I’ve been thinking about switching to Garmin recently because of it.

Hi @Liesel78 , Quick replies are greyed out on your iPhone because they are not available on iOS.  Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to enable them.

It is a matter of Apple and Fitbit working together to implement this.  As Apple have their own product (Apple Watch) they are understandably not particularly keen for Fitbit to implement this.  While they are willing to work with Fitbit so that Fitbit users can integrate with Apple phones, and receive messages etc, it seems that Apple would rather keep some high level features (like quick replies) exclusive to their own product (Apple Watch).

It’s understandable, of course, but obviously not ideal for iOS users of Fitbit.

Hi. These messages in the thread are dated back to 2018 so I’m not sure if anyone will see this message. I am wondering when/if I will be able to use quick replies to reply to SMS text message on the Versa, with an iPhone. Currently this is only available for Android users. This feature would appeal to many iPhone users- are Fitbit working on it?
