How do I turn off background on my iPad Fitbit app? This morning it showed 2 mins viewing , 3 hours background! I’d like to just have it use power whilst it is actually being viewed.
ive tried all over iPad settings and everything relevant on there is off! Is there somewhere in the app to change?

Hello again @Lilymarlene
😃 Here’s the path to find “All Day Sync”
open your Fitbit App
tap your profile picture on upper left of your screen
now scroll down and tap on the name of your Fitbit located just under “My Family”
Now scroll down to the bottom of your screen and disable all day sync
just tap “today” at the bottom to return to the main page of the Fitbit App

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Lilymarlene
I understand you want to turn off the backboard of the Fitbit App on your iPad.
The Fitbit app runs in the background to keep you connected with certain Fitbit app features such as all-day sync, connected GPS, and app notifications from your phone.
If the Fitbit app doesn’t run in the background, you may notice issues with app features, such as:
But if you still want to turn off the backboard here’s how:
open your iPad settings
Find Fitbit on the left side of your screen an tap it
now look to the right and you will see “Background App Refresh”
tap it to disable it
*You can always just go back to enable when you want it.
😃 I hope this answers your question. If this indeed answers your question could you please tap the “choose as best answer” box just under my post? Doing so helps other individuals who come to this community looking for answers to questions similar to your own. I’d really appreciate it!
If you choose not to run the Fitbit app in the background, you can still manually sync your Fitbit device by opening the Fitbit app. For more information,

Hello again @Lilymarlene
Your screen shots didn’t come in but no worries. Can you tell me the model and version of your iPad? I have an iPad as well and I’m not experiencing this problem. Sure it will show I’m on my iPad a lot interacting with Fitbit but most of my battery life is spent on the internet. Currently mine says 85% internet and 15% Fitbit. Do you have a lot of alarms set on your Fitbit as well?

It’s an iPad 9.7” Pro, three years old.
and I have one alarm, at 7 am, and no notifications.
