Battery level disappeared on new Fitbit app

The old app always showed my battery level in the upper right corner. The new app does not seem to show it anywhere. Am I missing something? I know I can swipe right on my Fitbit and I get an email when it’s low but it was handy to easily monitor it.

Thank you for sharing, I didn't realize that Fitbit had made an
announcement about it - and I can see why they haven't rolled it out yet
since they have a bunch of different things they're doing. Hooray!

This is a pain, the only way I've managed to see the battery level on the watch screen is to put it on charge, nothing on the phone Fitbit App whatsoever. Inevitably my runs out of charge regularly, massive inconvenience. Don't know of anyone from Fitbit views these posts but surely it wouldn't be too difficult to re-add this necessary feature?

Hi Vinny mine is a Charge 5 the screen face is oblong, non of the clock faces in the gallery have the battery level on them.

Any suggestions.

Apparently it's in the works along with some other improvements (some of
which are things we already had but we're removed)

Why would you make it LESS convenient to see the battery level?!?!

Please put this info back on the main screen so we can see it when syncing, as before.

You are pushing us toward Apple. Puzzled as to why.

Ianchicken1,

Since you’re asking about how to get the battery percentage on your clock face, it doesn’t really matter if you go into the gallery and can’t find a clock face that shows the battery percentage level. All you need to do is swipe from the bottom of your Charge 5 watch screen upward and your battery percentage is right there.

Here’s a video showing you how to do it in case you didn’t know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8oQpd81swc

Again this is just because you asked about clock faces. As Drl85 posted the link Fitbit is putting the battery percentage back on the app soon

Thanks Vinny, that's very useful, it doesn't matter that the new App doesn't show it on my phone.

Hi

i have a Luxe and, as I am partially sighted, I can only just make out the clock, no other device info. I rely on the app and now the battery percentage has disappeared I am really frustrated. I regularly check the low, medium and full battery level as one contributer mentioned, but despite this my battery has gone flat twice - not always able to be right next to my charger!  Fitbit, put the battery percentage back on the app!  Not only can I not understand exactly where on ‘low or medium’ my Luxe is, I do not have a good indication how charged it is -  is 99% medium?

TheVinny - That YouTube video is 2 years old, and useless.  You are NOT helping.

Best Answer

And it won't, because TheVinny.... Mr know it all.... is giving you information from the old App, which we do not have access to anymore.  Somebody needs to warn others.

None. He is working with an App face that no longer exists.  His information is useless.

The information you get from TheVinny is useless. He sent a YouTube video from 2021, its useless because those in power at Google have taken the battery percentage away, and allegedly working very hard to put it back, albeit 'slowly'.

Then why are you here?

To get help and I was helped.

You seem to be very passionate about this, albeit hate for Vinny's posts.

Its really funny, that YOU and YOU alone are being 'helped' with Vinny's posts.  Nobody else is, they are complaining just as I am.  His information is old, his advice useless.  He is using a different App, he is not using a Charge 5. If you 'feel' as if you're being helped, then by all means.... get help and advice with someone who uses a different App than yourself.  Soon you'll be frustrated too.  Somebody needs to tell Vinny he's very myopically giving people BAD advice .  I see your are not smart enough to do so.

I think most everybody here agrees with that. Including me. As stated many times it's a step backwards. And Fitbit has already officially stated it will be PUT BACK SOON. So there ya go. Seems pretty simple so far. (Now, that said, having an app that shows your battery percentage as low med or full is better than having nothing. At least people can see from their phone, tablet or whatever where their battery level approximately is.)

2- The Charge 5 DOES SHOW BATTERY PERCENTAGE on the device itself.  By swiping from bottom of the screen up it shows you exact battery percentage. It's small but it is right there. The Youtube video shows three ways you can see battery percentage on a Charge 5. THE FIRST WAY, by scrolling from bottom up, is correct and accurate today as it was in 2021. It absolutely applies and as anyone with eyes can see it has helped people that didn't know about that feature. So your Charge 5 DOES HAVE exact battery percentage right on it. The second part of the video no longer -- at this time -- applies because you cannot see the exact battery percentage on the app right now today, 10/27/2023. Although Fitbit has stated that it will be put back soon. And the 3rd way you can see your battery percentages according to that same stone-age video is by attaching it to the charger, which still applies today as well.

The ONLY issue right now is that Fitbit hasn't put back exact percentages of battery back on the app YET. In which I agree with would be a hassle for people who reply on web app for charging. Although low med and full is still something so just stick with FULL

Like many others, including as Ianchicken1 stated, I don't need the app personally because I can see battery percentages own my device.
