Hello all I have notice that my Fitbit reports example 16% battery life and the app shows 20% battery life. I have done all the restarts reboots delete and reinstall of the app and software. I’m in the latest iOS app and latest firmware on Fitbit anyone else have this problem

Same issue here - I put my Fitbit on to charge last night. This morning it’s saying battery level on the charge 4 says 96% but in app it still showing 34%. It’s synced multiple times since then and everything else is updating, just not the battery level

Exactly! I’ve rebooted my Charge 4 a few times, and my phone, checked my Bluetooth is on, and recharged my device twice since it started acting up. Forced quit the app several times and reopened. Nothing. No update. Phone software is up to date too.

It only started with the last app update. I can sync several times with no update to the battery percentage. Occasionally it updates but there is no logic to when it does.

This worked for me

I’m having the same trouble. I’ve updated phone, Fitbit, disconnected, reconnected, turned off Bluetooth, turned it back on. I’m still having the same trouble as well as having to charge my Fitbit every other day or it’s dead. GPS is not on either. What’s going on?

The only thing I've found that works so far is completely closing the Fitbit app on my phone, for just a few seconds, then sync it when I open it again. I have to do this a couple of times a day but it stays synced that way. I've been doing that for the last two days and the app now shows 79%, which is about where I'd expect it to be.

A few weeks ago, the Fitbit app on my iPhone stopped updating device battery status.  If I force close the app and restart, it shows the correct status.

this started while I still used my Charge 4.  At Christmas I switched to a new Versa 3 and it does the same.

also - why am I not getting 5-6 days of battery life on the versa 3?  It is better than my Charge 4, not not as good as advertised.

thanks

I've had my Charge 5 for a couple of months and it has been working well.

A week or two ago I noticed that the app on my iPhone was showing the Charge 5 battery as 100% charged a couple of days after charging. No amount of syncing can get the battery level in the app to change. The level on my Charge 5 is showing as 62% but the app still shows 100% after multiple attempts at sync. Other details - steps, etc. - are syncing correctly.

Is there a fix or is it a known bug that will be fixed in an update?

@palbion   This is an iOS app bug.  I am merging your post with the existing thread in the iOS forum.  Follow this thread for updates.

Thanks. I hope there is a fix soon. In the meantime I’ll have to rely on my device rather than the app.

The easiest way for me is to log out of the app on my iPhone then log back in & it updates. We shouldn’t have to do this.

This has been happening to me for a few weeks. In my Apple phone IOS Fitbit app it shows under my account 'full/moderate/low' which has always been the case and no problem. When syncing from my Sense it is STUCK ON 45% and doesn't update even when I have recharged watch to 100%. I have latest software and did all the normal stuff to solve issue, as the above post did. THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS, please Fitbit SORT IT OUT.

An earlier response from jimmym12 has a solution that works for me. Quitting the iPhone app and then restarting it updates the battery level to the value matching my device.

That suggests the problem is a bug in the app and a fix ought to be relatively easy for the programming team. Let's hope we see it soon.

You can just log out of the app & log back in. This works too.

A short time after charging my Fitbit Inspire 2 my iPhone shows battery at 9%, but Fitbit Inspire 2 shows 92%. Syncing did not change anything.

My wife and I see the issue; she has a brand new Luxe, and I have the Charge 4. Our easy work-around is to close and restart the Fitbit APP on our iPhones. This Simple tweak works every time.

You may be happy to mess about with a workaround for your particular devices BUT this DOES NOT work for us Sense users. This is a major fault with the iPhone App and CANNOT be corrected by the end user. Fitbit tech are aware of the issue and in the process of sorting it out.
