The community page into each product should start off with "Known Issues" with an expected timeline to updates/fixes. Keeping us informed of these common issues likely to reduce postings and users are aware of their problems being looked into!

Yes, All the workarounds that I’ve seen so far, and there are quite a few, are not fixes. They all have to be done each time you want to see the correct battery level in the app. As mentioned, the actual Fitbit device screen does report the correct level, in all of the screens that are programmed to show it.

Hei, I have same problem with my fitbit and here is the answers to you questions:

I'd like to have a closer look at this, to avoid misunderstandings could you please answer these questions?

The charge percentage that your are talking about is the one, as small banner in the dashboard in the app or on the information besides the Charge 4 when you tapp on your profile picture?

Answer: I have a Charge 5. The icon shows the same prosent all the time (do not count dow), and I swipe down in the main display in the app (see picture).

have you tried swiping the site down to reload it?

Answer: Yes

Could you please let me know what iPhone are you using and the OS version it has installed?

Answer:  iPhone 8, iOS 15.2.1, Norwegian language

Could you attach a screenshot on your reply?

Answer: No, there is no way to upload pictures to this thread...

Have you looked at what percentage fitbit.com shows?

Has anyone else had problems with this?  My Charge 5 used to send me an email and display a warning exclamation mark when my battery is low.  I had to charge roughly every week.  I also use the app and sync multiple times throughout the day so I see the battery level on there too.   Twice now my fitbit has failed to sync but the fitbit was working perfectly.  When I restart the fitbit I get a 0% battery alert - the fitbit was working fine before the restart - no exclamation mark warning, monitoring pulse and steps normally - and I would have noticed if the battery was low.   From my last sync just before bed my battery was at 50% and I was expecting to do my weekly recharge on Sunday/Monday.  After the restart I helpfully get the fitbit email saying my battery is running low.

Any ideas how to sort this problem please?  Thank you

I don't understand the relevance of this answer.

I would never look on fitbit.com to check my Fitbit battery level! I would check the Fitbit App on my phone though and that used to sync correctly for both my original Charge 2 and my current Charge 4. Now it doesn't without restarting the App.

Besides on fitbit.com it only shows in high/medium/low levels, not a percentage charge like on the device or the App.

No, honestly. I log in to the fitbit website maybe once a year? My main method of communications with Fitbit is via the app - iOS version in my case. I have the strong impression that this is how Fitbit wants it to work, which is fine, but then the app needs to show the right data.

Thanks

I am having the same issue with my Charge 4. I have synced it numerous times after fully charging it. The batter level indicator on the main screen of the app says 71%. When I look at my device info on another screen, it says it’s fully charged.

nope. Glad it’s working for you though.

Same problem.  Until they fix it just keep either checking the battery on the charge five by swiping up or keep closing and restarting the app.

I see it's been six weeks since this thread reported this problem and the app still doesn't register battery life correctly. These workarounds are not acceptable. Is this going to go the way of the doorbell? How many years of promises did we wait until that came out? Why is this app not fixed already. Six weeks. What is that in digital years? 36?

Don’t have the location issue (but I’m in the US, and that’s probably the default setting).  The BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL IS NOT UPDATING.  I contacted customer service.  They had me delete then reinstall the phone app.  That did not work.  Anyone know the solution?

I found that the Fitbit mobile app usually shows a wrong battery level of my Charge 5, even after synchronisation.

@Kelvinkung   Are you an iPhone user?  This is a known issue with the current iOS app and isn't limited to the Charge 5.  Fitbit is aware.  If you are an iPhone user, just force quit the app and re-open it.

Has there been any progress on this one? Mine only updates if I shut my phone off and then restart it. iPhone 12 pro max

After charging my Sense to 100% indicated by the watch, the app never shows more than 50% charge when I sync them.

Try deleting your sense in the app (sync first) and re-adding it. You won't lose any data.
