Same here: in the fitbit app on my iphone 13 pro the battery percentage does not update after syncing.

Tried everything: removing the fitbit app and installing again, resetting the Charge 5.

Restarting the iphone updates the percentage once and after that the percentage is again not updated after syncing.

BTW: I first observed this after updating to iOS 15.2. Can there be a relation to that?

I read someone else had the same issue. That person let their fitbit run
down to almost nothing and charged it all the way back to 100% and it
worked. I did that once and it worked a bit better. Then I let it run
down fully a second time and charged it back to 100% and now it's working
perfectly.
Maybe give that a try.

Many users are having the same problem.  There is a bug in the iOS app.  Fitbit is aware.  I am merging this thread with the existing thread in the iOS App forum.

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

It appears at the moment the only way to get the correct battery % to show up in the app is to close the app and then restart. Works for me at least.

(note I’m using Charge 5, this problem did not occur with my Charge 3)

From what I have read in this thread, Fitbit are aware and are working on a fix.

Not the end of the world but quite disappointing to see that what seems to
be a quick fix takes so long to get fixed, it’s diminishing my loyalty to
the product ….--

Noticed the same issue since last week. Other details, such as steps, distance, calories, zone mins, sync correctly. The battery percentage level remains different between app and tracker!

I rebooted both phone and tracker and they managed to sync correctly. Walked more steps and waited until the tracker showing a dip of 1% in battery level.

Open the app and managed to sync all other details above except the battery level.

What happens if you just close the APP completely, swiping off the screen, and then reopening it? You may also try stopping and starting Bluetooth in the settings for the phone. Just killing the app and reloading it seems to work on our devices.

Exiting the app and re-launching appears to correctly update the battery level. That being said, this should absolutely not be necessary; battery level should be updated along with step count, heart rate, and all the other things that are working just fine.

If you close the app completely and then reopen then as my post says the the battery shows correct %

Ok, as my post says if you close the app then re open then % battery life shown is correct. Close means FULLY close the app, not minimize.

Your advice is irrelevant to the PROBLEM which is being investigated by Fitbit Tech.

THERE IS NO WAY FOR THE END USER TO CORRECT THIS FAULT which is most prevalent with Sense users.

It is just a workaround, not a fix...🥸

I first tried stopping and then restarting Bluetooth.  This did not work at all.  I will come back to you on the App killing as to whether or not it worked.

I have the same issue on my Charge 4 and iPhone Fitbit app.  Yes, if I delete the app a reinstall, the first sync shows the proper battery level.  Yes, if I turn my iPhone completely off and then back on, the first sync shows the proper battery level.  It does not update on subsequent syncs.  It used to, but no longer.

My iPhone still is not updating the battery life.  This has been going on for over a week.  Fitbit appears to have correct battery life.  Phone no.  Please come up with a fix

FITBIT PLEASE MARK THIS QUESTION AS UNANSWERED.  We all understand that it may take a while to fix this problem but there is no need to lie by claiming it's been answered.  (The "Best Answer" is merely a statement from Fitbit saying it has no answer.)

As of Jan 4, 2022, problem still persists.

  • Iphone 13 Pro, IOS 15.2, Charge 4, Firmware version 10001.100.43.
  • In the app - Today screen says 81% and Charge 4 screen says "battery full."
  • On the watch itself - battery is at 85%.
  • I force close the app and re-launch it.  Then, both watch and "today" screen within the app show battery at 85% (but the Charge 4 page within the app still says "battery full")  Within a few minutes, watch has progressed to 87%, but fitbit app still shows 85% despite several syncs.

Other postings suggest this is widespread. Need to wait for a fix.

Today my app {iOS} battery % synched with my Inspire 2.  Not sure what, if anything, happened.  Anyway all is good for now.  Good luck to all.
