Bizarrely high overestimation of steps on charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My brand new Charge 2 which yes I have turned off and on again currently thinks I am doing 3 steps per second. Whilst I sit still and hold that wrist still. Even if I take it off and put it on the table.Since I sat down I have apparently done 1000 steps. It also sometimes miscounted my heart rate by over 20 bpm.

By breakfast tomorrow I will be an ultra marathon runner according to my tracker.

Return it to the shop? Faulty tracker or dodgy update?l

It's now overestimating my heart rate by about 40bpm. Which is also very special because I am not wearing it. Should I call for a priest?

I would try to do another restart of the tracker but do it three times in a row. It could very well fix the issue. Plug the Charge2 into the charger cable. Make sure you feel it vibrate, that way you know it's connected. Then push and hold the side button for 4 seconds or so until you see the Fitbit logo. Do this three times and monitor its performance. Good luck

Hello @LazyGaga, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

As @StevieMede mentioned, a restart would be ideal in this case. If your device is still counting steps and showing you heart rate after it has been restarted several times, my best recommendation would be contacting our Support Team. Let them know the steps you've performed so far, I'm sure they will be happy to assist you further and get you back on track! Smiley Wink

Keep me posted if you need anything else!
