Calories intake show incorrect data

Hi,

I got my first Fitbit last week, an Alta HR. All seems to be working great except for the nutrition section.

I set a goal number of kilojoules intake per day, around 7100. When viewing from the dashboard, if I haven’t logged any food yet that day, it says “29,760kj remaining”, or if i’ve logged 1000kj it will say “1000kj in, 28,760kj remaining”

when I click on nutrition it shows the accurate numbers relating to my 7100 instead of that wildly high number. But it is odd seeing it from the dashboard and not clear as to how much I have left that day.

[EDIT: this 2nd thing seemed to correct itself after a few refreshes and restarts of the app. Not sure how it got added but if it removed itself then that’s ok too] Then tonight when looking at my day’s food, I was wondering why my graph was pink (over) when I thought I was about 100kj under, and was clicking on my meals looking. And somehow added 20-something-thousand kJ to my day. It is not showing up in any food category. Just on the bar graph and my day total, but I can’t find how this got added. I’d like to correct it as it’s wildly wrong and throwing my weekly graph into disarray.

Any ideas for these 2 issues? I’m using the app on my iPhone 8+ and also have MyFitnessPal linked to help input my food intake. I have the exact same kJ goal set in MyFitnessPal too.

Thanks,

Jess

Hi @Jesscatt. It's nice to have you on board!

Thanks for sharing detailed information of the issues experienced with the Fitbit app. I understand how important is to see the correct data in your account, and I'll help you out. Since the calories is increased to a very high number, it's affecting the graphs and how it's estimated the calories intake and left to take.

Just to confirm, have you verified if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version? If so, please try to log out from the app, force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone and log back in to log your food details. If the calories keep increasing to a high number, reply back with a screenshot of the information displayed in the Fitbit app do I can further investigate.

Keep me posted!
