Calories left don't match in the Fitbit app

Hi there!

I always put my food intake each day. Today, I noticed that it’s saying I’m at my limit with 495 calories for the day with almost 1300 burned at 12pm. I have deleted and re added the app. I also deleted and input all my food over again with no fix. Can someone help me please? My app says I have 800 calories left for the day but my food journal says I’m at the limit

Why is the Calorie Count displayed on the Dashboard different than in the Food Section where you Track and enter food?

Thanks for getting back to us and for sharing your calorie count inquiry @dougieboy

With your question did you mean the calorie intake or the calories calculated during the day? Could you please send me a screenshot to understand better?

Keep on visiting the forums.

I’m assuming that it’s the same issue that my Fitbit app (IOS) has been encountering since my phone updated to 3.44 yesterday morning. For me it’s been how the calories are calculated for the day. They’ve always reflected the same number on both the dashboard & the food section where you track your food, & now it’s only accurately updating at the end of the day (Midnight I guess)? I tried everything to get it to sync correctly yesterday (as well as today), short of deleting the app. This morning the numbers for yesterday were accurate when I woke up. Today, same issue. Dashboard shows the correct available calories left for the day to meet my goal, and the food section has consistently shown that I’ve been 500 over my daily deficit goal all day (which is incorrect). My husband & I use our Fitbit every day, & thankfully for him, his phone didn’t update over Monday night, so it still works correctly. Mine doesn’t. Super frustrating.

It is Frustrating... but not a HUGE thing... YES I have a Apple Phone... I guess Apple will figure it out eventually... db

I have used a Fitbit since 2012 and all of a sudden yesterday I started experiencing this bug on my Fitbit app. My today page says I have 1904 calories left for the day and on the Food page I only have 1355 for the day. The online dashboard appears to be fine with both dashboard and food log listing 1904.

I am assuming this is the case with app:
On the today page it shows the calories left for the day at your current
activity level trend where as the food page shows what is left at that very
moment.

Maybe this is what they mean?

Hi

seems to be the same old question everybody askes but …

Fitbit app on iOS

  • food tab on homepage says I have 330 calories left
  • Click on that it says I have 54 calories left for the day

can I eat 54 calories now, but I can eat 330 up till midnight cos I’ll burn it

off by midnight ?

Which one should I go by homepage or the one I clicked through to ?

Also I’m meant to be on an 1000kcal deficit
If I take the calories on the homepage calories I’ve eaten and allowed to eat to stay on target come in at 1900kcals I’ve burnt 2290. I know I’ll burn a few from now (6pm) till midnight but doubt it would total 2900 ?? The app is remembering the 1000kcal deficit right?

Am I just underestimating how many calories I’ll burn in 6 hours ?

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  5. Manually sync your device: How do I manually sync my tracker or watch?

I don’t know which one to believe. Just started doing this earlier this week. I’m not sure if there was an update. I didn’t notice one.

This is not my question. The two calories left numbers do not match

The last few days, the food entry page in my iPhone app is not reflecting the correct amount of calories allowed. It's telling me I have 240 calories left over for the day, whereas in the Dashboard under Today, I still have 559 calories to go! I have deleted and reinstalled but the same issue is still there. IOW, Dashboard and Food Entry pages are not synching.  Obviously the calculation algorithm on the food entry page is suffering some sort of glitch which I would be pleased to see sorted out! This inaccuracy is a bit unnerving! Thank you

For 3 days, my “calories left” is not the same on the dashboard and on the food log. Which one is correct?

I agree with B.Crochet-rice. This problem has to do with the latest update to 3.44. I updated my iPhone to 3.44 and the problem started. My iPad uses version 3.43.1 and still shows the correct/same calories left on the dashboard and the food page. Is there any way to back out the update?
