Welcome to the forums @Rockerchick08! Caloric deficit is the main component for weight loss, but it needs to go accordingly to your current weight and weight loss goal. Please check your BMI chart and see if the caloric deficit you are aiming to reach is not too strong for your goals.
You can check the progress of your Caloric balance at the In vs Out Calories tile. Keep in mind that you need to log your meals and sync your tracker so you can get the most accurate calorie burn numbers. Please see this guide from @SebringDon that will provide all necessary information on how to work with your Food plan.
