Why can’t I have my Apple Watch attach to the Fitbit app? I don’t want to have to wear two “watches”.

@Snowtgrr There is an app called Sync Solver that some people use. I have not personally used it.
In a nutshell, Apple is a competitor, not a collaborator.

Hello @Snowtgrr, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. It's great to see you too, thanks for all your help.
@Snowtgrr, I appreciate your participation in the Forums and your suggestion. At this moment there are not plans to release a dedicated Apple Watch app or integrate the Apple Watch as a compatible device for Fitbit. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released here in our FAQs.
Our team has left the feature suggestion open for votes (and closed to comments) so our team can continue to track community demand over time. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we will let you know if anything changes. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply, I'll be happy to help.

It really makes me sad that to participate I need to wear two items on my wrist. Especially since the Apple Watch I have takes my heart rate as well as keeps track of the same thing as my Fitbit. It seems really silly to try and force us to choose between a Fitbit or the Apple Watch. You are loosing a large population that could boost moral within the community!

Most Fitbit devices also track heart rate. So no need to wear two devices.
