I have synced my Charge HR with my Ipad for years and now wish to sync it with my Iphone 6S. If I do that, will I lose past data and start over at 0?

@fbc16 No, not at all. When you sync your tracker, the data is transferred to Fitbit's servers. It is not stored on your iPhone/iPad.
You can put the app on your iPhone and keep the app on your iPad. Please note -- if you set up your Charge HR to receive phone notifications, you won't be able to sync your tracker with your iPad unless you turn the notifications off. Notifications make a tight Bluetooth bond between the tracker and phone.
IMHO, just take app off the iPad. The app is optimized for portrait orientation (like you phone). We tend to use our iPads in landscape orientation and the app is just plain clunky on a tablet. Once I understood about the Notifications/Bluetooth bond, I didn't have any reason to keep the app on my iPad.
