I forgot my charger on a work trip. I turned on mobile track. Will it double count my steps until my battery dies or is it smart enough not to double count?

Hello @Heatherpiro, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
Thanks for your question, MobileTrack does not duplicate the steps even if you're wearing your tracker during the day. When you sync, the data gets consolidated but not duplicated.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hello @Heatherpiro, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Please note that MobileTrack lets you use the Fitbit app without a Fitbit device by using your phone's sensors to track basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned. If you're wearing a tracker, the Fitbit app combine their data and present the totals, if your tracker runs out of battery, MobileTrack will continue counting your steps and will provide an overall total, without duplicating your steps.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
