Can't log into Fitbit app, error 1006

I cannot log into my Fitbit app I get  ERROR 1006 and says owner of Fitbit app has banned my IP address 147.75.208.224 and another one that says OOOS SOMETHING WENT WRONG. Networkbitkit. HTTPError1

Hey there, it's nice to see you around @Dru1954!  Hmmm... this is strange my friend. Would you mind posting a picture of the error message? 

 

As you mentioned, the issue may be related to your IP address and should resolve within 48 hours. If you still can't log in by then, please let me know so I can investigate further.

Well actually this has been going on this makes a week and I am on my 3rd wait 48 hrs..... I figured it out last night in the middle of the night. I have resolved it myself!!!

Sure, I'd be glad to -- except the error message has now changed.  It's now reading only:

 

"Oops, something went wrong.  Please try again."

I finally figured out what the problem with since support would only tell me to" Give it 48 hrs and it should resolve. Of course it did not. So I would text them and got the same answer. Then after I figured out ; without their help: They sent me what I had figured out and already had gotten resolved after a week. I had VPN ON MY PHONE AND HAD HAD IT FOR PROBABLY WELL OVER A YEAR. So I googled it to see what they had to say about how it could affect apps. Then I had to google how to disable the VPN; so I got it disabled. Then wa la It worked. I also rebooted my phone after I disabled it before I tried to sign . Hope this helped!

I also got that one too but when I disabled the VPN it took care of both.

I searched for days trying to find a resolution to my log in problems and lo and behold I figured it must be my VPN and yes it now works fine.   I actually got to this post after I resolved my issue.  Please Fitbit let people know their VPNs might cause login problems
