I appreciate your patience while our team work on this situation. Please note that a new version for the Fitbit app was already released and my Fitbit app is now able to send private messages. Let's try to install the update and I hope that it works for you.

Catch you later.

@CindyMFitbit Please give the App update revision number.  Clearly "new" is meaningless in a tiered rollout scheme like Fitbit and almost every internet software provider uses. You have set us up for a "it does not," "It does too," argument, because the "it" is unidentified. Happy your "new" version worked for you.  My "new" update successfully installed and still refuses to send fitbit private messages as adamently as the "old." The other "new" update that may be involved is what iOS are you on.  Apple has 15.1 out now, and Fitbit claims to support all the way back to 8.1. Each revision may perform slightly differently in many ways for every combination of device, iOS, and app, revision.

@3amp @NorfolkReg @CindyMFitbit @SunsetRunner @SunsetRunner @CityLion  Are we all in agreement that however the profile of the addressee is reached, other than through fitbit.com, the message button is inactive?

My App says 3.47 (1068).

I’m ios 14.7.1 if that helps.

If you can get the update from the Apple store it may help The latest Fitbit App version I see requires iOS13.4 or later. To find your App version

Tap your user icon at the top left of the Today screen.

On the Account page scroll down and tap "Help & Support"

Your iOS release is at the top (mine was 3.47 (ignore this number normally) with the error on iOS15.1) it is now 3.48 after today's update and the error is corrected.  @NorfolkReg @3amp @CindyMFitbit @SunsetRunner @SunsetRunner @SunsetRunner

Hi everyone. Thanks for your responses.

@CityLion I really appreciate your comments and feedback. Currently I'm running iOS 15.0.1 and Fitbit app version 3.48 and this is the version that fixed the issue with the private messages in my case. So you can double check if that version is now available for you. Sometimes Fitbit takes time to release the new version for all the users.
