Cannot set calorie deficit goal

ANSWERED

I am trying to set up a calorie deficit but every time I do it reverts back to a number of calories.  I have restarted my Fitbit, deleted and reinstalled app multiple times, offloaded data.   I am

clicking on my profile in the app and going to food goal under nutrition and weight, setting a calorie deficit and confirming my choice. It will show goal as calorie deficit but as soon as I leave that screen it reverts back to a daily calorie goal.   I also don’t have the ability to set a goal weight, only body fat goal.   My phone is running most recent iOS so I think it may be an app problem.

I have iOS.

I’m having the same issue!!
Setting a calorie deficit goal is reverting back to a specific calorie number.

I’m having the same problem too. It started today. Beyond annoying 😭

Same issue! I’m in an 1100 calorie deficit and it’s telling me I’m over my calorie allowance for the week! And it changed all my past data to red bars!!! I’ve been under or in target range for weeks!

I am having the same issue too. Started with the most recent update.

Same problem for me. Doesn’t show how may calories left for the day and it’s not registering that I want to have a deficit per day. Stuck at 1940 calories

I am glad to hear it’s not just me but very upset to learn no Fitbit reply. 😣

Same issue started for me today, very unfortunate that there is still no official response from Fitbit/Google

Same issue. Started happening today. Just updated my app, but that didn’t help.

this is happening to me too!! i thought it was because i got a new phone yesterday but glad to see it isn’t just me. hopefully they fix it soon🙄🙄

same. started yesterday.

shows my goal as 1317 calories-- which i did NOT set. changing to daily 500 calorie deficit appears to work, but it then promptly reverts back to 1317.

running the latest versions of fitbit app and ios.

also, deleted the app last night and reinstalled today. same thing.

Same issue. Started yesterday and really annoying. I have tried everything but not helped. It  has changed all my bars to red and I have been consistently under my calorie intake (blue bars) for weeks. A calorie goal is no use I want to know how many calories I have left for the day!

Do we know if Fitbit actually reviews these feeds and comments? Update: I found a phone number to call for support. I just called and supposedly they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it. No eta of course.

Having the same issue.  Mine shows something ridiculously low like 599 calorie goal for the day and that’s clearly not right.

Can FitBit tech please help here?

Looks like lots of folks with the same issue.

@LZeeW I am not sure if this is an iOS issue, that was installed earlier in the week and there were no issues until yesterday when the FitBit app was upgraded to version 4.65.

I have tried everything (reinstalling app, reentering my goal, etc.).

@Hatorboa   Sorry, I don’t use this feature.  I am aware of the issue because I browse all the forums regularly, hoping to help.

Google doesn’t care about the customers using this app.  I am looking into another application and device to track fitness and calories.  The last few months have been riddled with issues.
