I am trying to set up a calorie deficit but every time I do it reverts back to a number of calories. I have restarted my Fitbit, deleted and reinstalled app multiple times, offloaded data. I am
clicking on my profile in the app and going to food goal under nutrition and weight, setting a calorie deficit and confirming my choice. It will show goal as calorie deficit but as soon as I leave that screen it reverts back to a daily calorie goal. I also don’t have the ability to set a goal weight, only body fat goal. My phone is running most recent iOS so I think it may be an app problem.

Help chat just confirmed the same to me. They’re aware and working on a fix and to watch the App Store for updates to the app. Although they couldn’t give a timescale so send we will all have to wait

There's a new app update in the apple store - I updated but unfortunately it still doesn't work.

No, it’s still not fixed. Think I’m going to move on from Fitbit as it’s affecting my nutrition intake.

Frustrating indeed! What’s the point of that change? For me, fitbit Inspire 3 only works in a calorie deficit idea!!!!!

Anything new? Still have not seen anything official from the company, but anything unofficial? Has anyone had any new communication at all about this? Still reverting back to a fixed calorie amount rather than a deficit option and communication with my Renpho scale is no longer working. You-->Goals is also giving me "Something went wrong. Unable to Load Your Goals." I really like the Fitbit app when it's working, and there's nothing wrong with my tracker so I hate to have to buy something else but this app having meltdowns every few months with no communication is really getting old. Customer support, are you there? Can you give us an update?

I have the same issue and reported it through the chat option with Fitbit support. I asked if it was a known issue/bug with the last app update and if they had plans to fix it and they literally responded "that's a good question". Would be great to get an update from customer support asap.

I just talked with Fitbit support, and they still do not have a timeline. The support assistant said they would send out a fix with the updates, but the fact that they don’t have a timeline after basically a week is extremely disappointing.

Still. No updates..?? This is really bad Fitbit!! There is no point wearing the watch at this point as you can’t do the things you should be able to! Why isn’t this being discussed and resolved as a matter of urgency for all your loyal users?!?!

Thank you for posting this. Glad to know they are working on it, but hopefully it won't take too much longer. It's hard to stay on an eating plan when your tracker malfunctions for a week. 😞

I hope they really are working on it. Interesting to note that they have not documented it as a known issue on their status page (link below) despite how many people have contacted them?
